We put on our glad rags and walked the green carpet at the 2023 Olivier Awards last night (April 2nd).
With thousands gathered at the Royal Albert Hall to acknowledge the best of British theatre, we were present in our role as sponsors of the Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre category. This award, introduced in 2004, recognises work produced at affiliate members of the Society of London Theatre, recognising excellence beyond the West End theatres eligible in the main theatre categories.
It was wonderful to get fully absorbed in the glitz and glamour of the occasion - especially as this was our first time enjoying the event as attendees. Of course, we've been involved with the event for years, supplying the event rigging. But this was certainly a different experience.
The Unusual Rigging award was presented by It's A Sin's Callum Scott-Howells and Milly Alcock, star of House of the Dragon. We were delighted to see the award go to The P Word at the Bush Theatre. A huge congratulations to the whole team involved.
